Yi Xueling is an undergraduate student at School of Life Sciences, Peking University. Driven by an interest in ecology and evolution, she joined us in 2015 and participated in several projects on molecular evolution and phylogeny. She has successfully completed a project on molecular sex identification of pangolins aiming to discover any sex bias in the illegal pangolin trade in China and Southeast Asia. She is now working on comparing phylogeography patterns of several Hainan mammals in relation to their mainland counterparts.
