Xuesong received his M.S. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Huazhong Agricultural University in 2009. He then worked as a bioinformatics engineer in BGI-Shenzhen for three years, studying population genetics and bioinformatics. Joining us since 2012 summer, he is interested in applying the new sequencing technology to facilitate population genetics and phylogenetics problems. He is also the “IT guy” for the lab.
